ZBK Karate Team – Wado Ryu Championship
Wado Ryu Championship Recap – March 22, 2026
We would like to congratulate our ZBK Karate athletes for their efforts at the Wado Ryu Championship this past weekend. We had 18 competitors, with 12 also participating in Team Kata, representing our dojo with determination and spirit.
Our final medal count:
🥇 3 – 1st Place
🥈 12 – 2nd Place
🥉 11 – 3rd Place
While we are proud of our students for stepping onto the floor and giving their best, it was also a challenging day that gave us valuable insight into areas where we can continue to grow. Competition is not just about medals—it’s about learning, refining, and pushing ourselves to improve.
With our new feedback process in place, students will be receiving more detailed guidance through the results portal and directly from our senseis. Moving forward, we will be focusing on strengthening our foundation—going back to the basics of proper belt tying, strong kihon, and improved listening and reaction time.
We are proud of every student who participated and look forward to helping each of them continue to grow and reach their full potential.
Keep training. Keep improving. The best is yet to come.
