Congratulations to all of our students who participated in this weekend's Kyu Testing!

We are incredibly proud of each of you for the hard work, dedication, and courage you demonstrated. Testing is about more than earning your next belt—it is an opportunity to challenge yourself, showcase your growth, and continue your journey as a martial artist.

Whether you advanced in rank or received valuable feedback to help you improve, every step forward is progress. Remember that karate is a lifelong journey, and every lesson learned today will make you stronger tomorrow.

Thank you to our students, families, instructors, and volunteers for making this weekend's testing a success. We look forward to seeing everyone continue to grow both on and off the dojo floor.

Nikkei Games August 9th
🥋 ZBK Competition Team – Nikkei Games 2026 🥋

Good luck to our Zen Bushido Kan Karate-Do Competition Team as they prepare to compete at the Nikkei Games Karate Tournament this Sunday, August 9th at the Cal State Long Beach Pyramid!

Every tournament is another opportunity to challenge ourselves, learn, grow, and represent our dojo with honor. While medals and trophies are exciting, what makes us most proud is seeing our students demonstrate the values we practice every day—respect, perseverance, humility, discipline, and indomitable spirit.

To all of our competitors:

-Trust your training.
-Give your best effort.
-Support your teammates.
-Win or lose, leave the tatame knowing you represented ZBK with integrity.

We would love to see our ZBK family in the stands! If you have the opportunity, come out and cheer on your teammates as they compete. Your encouragement and support mean more than you know, and having a strong ZBK presence helps motivate our athletes throughout the day.

UPDATE-Long Beach Dojo- NEW LOCATION
Important Announcement – ZBK Karate Long Beach Dojo

📣 ZBK Long Beach Families — Our New Location & Updated Class Schedule Are Official!

We are excited to announce that beginning June 1st, ZBK Long Beach will officially be moving to our new home at:

Recreation Park Social Hall
4900 E 7th St
Long Beach, CA 90804

🥋 Beginner Class (First Class)
Wednesdays & Fridays
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

🥋 Intermediate / Advanced / Adult Class (Second Class)
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

These changes officially take effect June 1st.

Please note:
• There will NOT be Beginner Class on Monday, June 1st. Beginner classes will resume Wednesday, June 3rd at the new location.
• Second Class WILL meet on Monday, June 1st at the new location during regular class hours.

Registration has been updated to reflect all schedule and location changes and is now officially open. Please register as soon as possible to secure your student’s spot.

The La Mirada dojo will NOT be impacted by these changes and will continue operating as normal.

Thank you all for your flexibility, patience, understanding, and continued support during this transition. We are excited for the future of the Long Beach dojo.
