Karate- Empty Hand

Dojo- Place of the way
Gi- Uniform
Obi- Belt
Rei- Bow
Oss/Osu -Affirmation
When entering the dojo to begin class, students will line up in belt order. We will begin by showing respect by bowing and then do warm ups.
Please note, students without a gi will be at the end of the line.
Requirements for participation
Students are required to have a full uniform including the belt. Gloves and shinguards are also necessary to protect against injuries. To order these please contact Sensei Jony to get the right fit.
Please note we do karate barefoot, and therefore students should have clean feet and clipped nails to participate.
All jewelry should be removed prior to the beginning of class.
Dōjō kun (道場訓) is a Japanese martial arts term that means "training hall rules". It's a set of guidelines that outline the behavior expected of students. Above is a PDF copy of Dojo Kun for your student to practice.
